I'm very happy to announce that our camera has arrived! So now there'll be plenty of new pictures. In other news, grandma and grandpa are here to make our lives easier. It feels like vacation when they're around...

New camera is coming...

We finally ordered a camera! So hopefully there will be plenty of new pictures in just a bit. We got a panasonic lumix. My current weight is 150lbs (68kg). Perhaps I should add that I'm 5,8 (1,73m) if anyone's interested.

Erik doing good

I'm happy to report that Erik is doing good. Liam is also feeling well, although he's chronically stuffy and has a cough. We went to see a specialist yesterday and the doc thought that it's a lingering sinus infection. Apparently, kids can have them for months without much other symptoms. He also said it could be the adenoids or possibly allergies, so we're going to to a blood test to find out.

My current weight is 153 (69kg)

We need to get a camera soon, since Erik is developing so much and we need to document the changes. Kids grow up too fast...

sunday at the ER

We had a lovely relaxing sunday at the emergency room. This morning I called Erik's doctor again and she said I needed to go to the ER since he's so little. I'm kind of mad at the nurse whom I spoke to yesterday over the phone. She made it sound like I could just give Erik tylenol for his fever and he'd be alright. Anyway, we spent 7 hrs at the ER and they took all kinds of tests and even x-rays. It looks to be a viral infection but we have to return tomorrow for another shot of antibiotics (my tired brain doesn't remember why). He seems to be doing a lot better now and the fever is gone, which I'm extremely grateful for. Luckily, he didn't get sick two weeks ago because if that were the case they would have had to admit him to the hospital.

The reason it took so long at the ER is that they're shipping in plane-loads of badly injured kids from Haiti for treatment.

Unfortunately, both boys are sick today. I'm a bit worried for Erik, who's not even 3 mos. Luckily he's a big, healthy boy and I think he can fight whatever he has. Both Liam and Erik are stuffy, cough, and run fevers. Erik had a temp of 101.5 rectally this morning. I'll wait and see what happens with his temp this afternoon. If need be, we're going to see the doc. Jason and I had a fun night with both boys being up about once an hour. Now we're both starting to feel sick too. Jason is just heading out for an 11 hour shift. It's looking to be a fun day.
