Midsummer's Eve

Yesterday we celebrated midsummer's eve - one of the biggest holidays in Sweden. It's a tradition that has lived on since our viking days and it's a must to make a maypole and dance around it. Unfortunately, Erik was running on the lawn and fell and hit his jaw on something made of metal (what are the odds?) so I had to take him into the emergency room for a check-up. He turned out to be fine and we could go home to relax.

New deck

Thanks to my father-in-law, Jack, Jason and Uncle Rich, we have a nice new deck in the backyard! When it's not pouring outside we spend a lot of time out there, enjoying our meals and the kids play. I planted a bunch of penta flowers (perennial plants native to Florida) and grasses for low maintenance. We still have some work to do (such as painting the house) but it's definitely more functional now. Thanks for all the help!
