We went to see the Baltimore Orioles baseball practice one day
We've had quite a miserable week being sick and all. Liam had a fever for a couple of nights, slept miserably all week, runny nose, deep cough and on top of that a sore throat. The reason I know about the sore throat is that I've shared all his symptoms. At least, today we were able to finally see some friends so we went up to Boca to see Anna and Philip.

birthday thanks

I'd like to thank Viveka, Johanna, Anna and Ann-Sofi for the nice birthday dinner they arranged for me! Viveka made delicious dinner and we had yummy chocolate desserts. I got great gifts as well - very nice pasta plates and kitchen things, and Anna made a very nice collage of pictures of the boys and us. Most of all, I'm grateful for having such nice friends!

Today we explored the paths at Anne Kolb nature center down in Hollywood. We had a good walk and the weather was just about right.

Today we went to the Wakadohatchee wetlands up in Delray Beach. We got to see all kinds of animals including a giant alligator. The trail is about a mile long. However, it takes a very long time for Liam to walk it as he observes every detail of animal and plant life. He reminds me of my father actually. Philip on the other hand could run two laps around the trail before the rest of us got halfway ;-)

A few weeks ago Luc gave Liam a jar with a cocoon. A couple of days ago the butterfly inside the cocoon came out and we got to release it and see it flutter away. It was a beautiful experience.

Afternoon at Chandra and Caden's

We had a great morning in Boca together with Anna and Philip. In the afternoon, we went over to our neighbor's house (Chanda is Swedish with an American dad). The kids had a blast and Liam was absolutely soaked after approimately 5 minutes.

On Sunday, Liam and Jason went to Gulfstream park on their own to look at the horses. Meanwhile, I enjoyed an hour or two of relaxation at the house (now-a-days uninterrupted cleaning counts as relaxation).

Yesterday we went up to Boca to see our friends Anna and Philip. As usual, we had a very nice time and enjoyed some delicious lunch with obligatory dessert. Last night, we had a late girls' night at Viveka's house. Great times...
